The crew was friendly, covered everything really well and worked efficiently despite some rain delays to get the job done quickly. John took the time to walk through with me to correct any touch ups and checked in with me almost daily on the progress and next steps. I really couldn't ask for more.  Robert and Hudson did a great job on the dry rot repairs and showed me everything they were repairing along the way to make sure I was satisfied. WOW! These guys were Great! I was searching for a company to refinish my maple wood banister to a darker color stain. I saw good reviews on Yelp about JRW Painting, so I included them in my bid offers.  John, the owner, was very responsive and came to my house within a day of my call and looked things over and clearly spoke of quality and I got the strong sense that he knew what he was doing.  But I also shared with him that many times the front person is great but then the team may not be as experienced.  But I felt a good vibe from John and hired him that same day.  His team had an opening and was able to start the job the next Monday. Dan and Randy came out and John met them at my house, along with myself, to scope out the extent of the job and what he wanted done.  Well in the ensuing next few days, I was just so happy with the level of attention and conscientiousness that Dan and Randy were taking with my job. They built a plastic tent around my two story interior to ensure everything was protected and to minimize the dust. This tent surpassed my expectations even!  John called me at the end of each day to give me a status on where they were and what the next day entailed.  I really appreciated this! I just can't say enough about how GREAT Dan and Randy were. They would text me pictures of their progress (while I was away at work) and at one point Dan said they were going out to get a fine grit sandpaper because he was not perfectly happy with the result and he wanted to give it "one more coat" the next day because he wanted the finished product to be "perfect".  Being pretty picky myself, I was so happy with the level of care and attention and satisfaction that JRW gave to my job. It wasn't just about getting the job done...it was about making sure I was happy with the finished product! I would clearly be a willing referral source for this company and the team that did my job. John runs a great company and I could feel his professionalism and pride of his business and it emanates from his employees as well. We just had John and his amazing crew completely repaint the entire exterior of our house. 

Quality-From beginning to end, their attention to detail was at the highest level. They did a fantastic job prepping the house. No damage to plants or areas around the house, no paint spills, overspray, etc. They all took the initiative to fix areas along the way. I was expecting to find lots of spots to tend to on the final walk through, but John and his crew had already found them! The end product is fantastic, could not be more happy with how the house looks!

The team-The entire crew was professional, courteous, polite, the entire time. As anyone who has family at home when people are working on the house can relate, this can be a point of nervousness for clients. The crew was a pleasure to have at the house. Can't give enough praise for this aspect. John has a great team working for him. 

Communication-John and his team constantly kept us updated with progress, what needed to be done, and kept to their original timeline as expected. 

Value-At no time did we feel they were rushing through the job or cutting any corners. I was surprised at first at the length of time needed for completion, but after witnessing their attention to detail it became perfectly clear as to why. The cost was extremely reasonable, less than other quotes we received, but we couldn't be more pleased with the end result. 

We will absolutely use JRW Painting for any of our painting needs in the future, and I highly recommend other do the same.

John and his crew really came through for me. I had another painter scheduled and had to wait 6 weeks for the job to start. Three days before, he was in an accident and unable to complete the job. I didn't want to wait a couple more months and everyone I called was booked up for weeks/months. John actually answered my call and came out that day. He gave me a quote in person and gave me a very good deal. They started at the end of the week.  Juan was with us for 5 days, so polite and great attention to detail. I just completed a total remodel of my home and I wanted the paint job to be just right since paint is one of the most important aspects of any remodel.  I looked up JRW on Yelp and gave them a call.  John was quick to make an appointment to do a walkthrough of the place and to give me a detailed quote.  He took his time with me during the walkthrough to make sure he understood the color schemes I wanted, the type of paint, and the attention to detail in the edging I was really looking for.  I also pointed out several areas that needed drywall repair or re-texturing due to the type of remodel work I had done.

His quote was very fair for the amount of work that needed to be done, his crew started and finished the job on time and on budget, they completely cleaned up after themselves and were very, very polite when I went by to check the progress of their work.

The most important thing is that the work is amazing. John's drywall guy did an incredible job patching up holes, repairing texture, and generally making it look like no remodel work was ever done to the place. The paint work itself is exactly as I had hoped for! I had an appliance installer in yesterday who asked about the painter and said it was a fantastic job. I passed him one of John's cards as a referral and I would refer anyone to JRW. They really do careful, thorough and detailed work. The proof is in the quality of the results and the attention to the details.  I would definitely use JRW in the future.

I can't say how nice it was to work with JRW painting!  John was professional and efficient when completing the interior paint job of my home.  Not only does the company do great work, his costs were very reasonable.  If you're looking for painting company that takes pride in their work... We had john paint the staircase and railings. I needed it painted black. It's in the front entrance so very important it be done right. The wood floors were just put in, which was a concern cause the painter we used before John got paint on the wood. You can read my review of the other painter. John came out to the house. Gave me a competitive quote. He really sounded like he knew what needed to be done. His guys came out and prepped the area. They were real nice guys as well.  It's very important who you let in your house. Things came up and I had some requests. I'm very detail oriented. They were very receptive to everything. The last local painter started to curse at me cause I wanted things done a certain way. It took about a day longer then planed, but John did not try to increase the initial quote. Unlike the previous painter I used, who wanted to charge me more cause his guys had no idea what they were doing. The final product looks perfect. The staircase has changed the look of the house. John and his crew really did a great job.

JRW Painting was recommended to me by a friend.  His estimate for the exterior of my house was lower than the others I received except for one, but I could not verify the references of the lowest estimate so I went with JRW.  Glad I did.  I was most impressed with the preparation.  I have learned through the years that 90% of a paint job is the preparation and JRW put a lot of effort into that aspect and it really shows in the final product.  I picked out the main house color but I went with JRW's recommendations for the trim colors and again, glad I did.  I am very proud of how the house looks.

John made it right and really watched over his crew. I also liked that he provided an estimate on the spot where others had to send them (and a few never even sent them). As with every other sub that I used on my project, I took three bids for my painting job.  John at JRW was the first.  I was surprised by how reasonable his estimate was, and was impressed by everything that he had to say.

Contractors come in a couple of flavors.  Some can bid on the spot, and others need time to build an estimate.  It sometimes takes them several days.  John gave me his bid on the spot and followed it up with a documented bid.

As impressed as I was with JRW's bid, my next bid came in significantly lower.  I couldn't believe it.  A vendor with a BBB A+ rating and 5/5 on Yelp came in nearly 50% lower.  It sounded too good to be true, and probably was.

After a lot of careful consideration, I opted to go with John.  His story lined up with my expectations, his professionalism gave me confidence with his ability to execute and I just couldn't see how someone could paint my house for a price that barely covers materials.  

As we near the end of the job, I find myself thrilled that I picked John.  There is so much that goes into painting beyond spraying paint on the walls.  JRW's impeccable prep-work, constant communication and superior result clearly demonstrate the value of what I'm paying for.

I truly believe that I would have gotten "just a paint job" with the lower bid.  What I got from JRW is perfection and, with that, comes one less thing to worry about and a really good night sleep.

After 5 years of looking at our standard "builder's special" oak front kitchen cabinets, I decided to do some thing about bringing the design into the 21st century.  This is where John and his crew from JRW Painting came in.

From the first initial email, to the day John came by to look at the project, it all went perfectly according to schedule.  To me, this was a Herculean task: taking the cabinet doors off, painting them perfectly, painting the boxes (inside and out) and putting it all back together in perfect order without mistakes or a huge mess.  It was by no means an easy task and any hurdle John and his crew faced was creatively fixed.

John treated this job like we were the most important clients ever.  He took total ownership from start to finish and used his artistic and critical judgment to make sure we were happy.  We felt very safe and secure having John and his crew in our home unattended and would use him without any hesitation in the future.

We just purchased a house where the prior owner would not grant us access for paint bids until COE.  We called three painters and tried to get bids based on pictures and measurements.  John was the only painter who personally called us to walk through the pictures and really understand the scope of the project.  The others just came up with a price or never gave us a bid.  

I felt really comfortable with John and his staff throughout the project.  They did a great job in painting 3 rooms in our house.  We also wanted all of our cabinets (maple finish) painted white.  The crew did a great job in the prep work removing all of the doors, drawers, and hardware.  They coverered up all of the areas (floors, walls, ceiling) not being painted.  They took their time and did a first class job.  They even made sure that our house was clean after they finished up. We are simply thrilled with our new house and the excellent work by JRW painting.

John Webber and crew have just completed a major job in my house and I could not be more pleased. We have 8 rooms, 3400 sf, vaulted ceilings and many details to challenge a painter. We also needed to do something about our faded oak cabinets, so as I interviewed painters I also sought their recommendations for cabinets.

I was impressed by John from the start, it was clear he had a command of his profession and was able to provide a detailed description of his work plan and an instant quote (and subsequently a matching, detailed, formal quote). He offered alternatives for the cabinets (paint and refinishing) including detailed description of pros/cons and techniques of both methods.

I interviewed another painter whose technique and work description seemed inferior yet his price was higher. It caused me to worry that John might be underestimating or would do an inferior job. John readily provided multiple references that gave glowing reviews. One of them invited us to see their finished home and when we saw the quality of the paint job we were convinced and awarded the business to JRW.

John negotiated a project schedule that tried to minimize the impact to our family while accounting for the paint job, cabinets in kitchen and bathrooms and the other remodeling work we added (floors and lighting) via contractors recommended by John. We had 3 colors in the majority of the house, plus 2 others in kids' bedrooms. John and his friendly crew did a masterful paint job with close attention to detail especially the tricky business where two colors come together in a corner. John is a perfectionist and while the crew does great work John provides close supervision to make sure all is done flawlessly.

The cabinets turned out to be the most difficult portion of the job. John's crew worked tirelessly to strip the original finish but we had trouble finding the right stain to convert the original "golden oak" of the 80s to a more modern look. John patiently tried our original choice and then subsequent methods and stains looking for the right combination. Eventually he went to a stain-mixing specialist with sample wood and came back with a stain that covered well and looked natural.

As John's hardworking crew inspired confidence and our choice of floors changed our decor, we enlisted John for additional work including railing/bannisters, dining table and sliding door. John quoted fair prices for these "add-ons" and the results were excellent.

We were glad to get John's recommendations for other contractors that specialized in hardwood floors, kitchen tile and some lighting work, and I will review those separately. But they proved to be reliable, competitively priced and extremely diligent in producing high quality results. It was clear why these contractors worked well together as they all had the same high quality standards.

We're still putting the finishing touches back together (hanging pictures, etc.) so not able to post photos yet, but they will be coming soon. I would heartily recommend John for any size paint job. Based on my many interactions with him I am fully convinced of his expertise, integrity, intention to detail, and his management of crew / job-site.
